Greeted by friendly owner Brian for our two night stay. Comfortable rustic accommodation. Good bed with fresh bedding. Great shower pressure. Fluffy, clean white towels. Nice dinner in front of the big wood fire.

Friendly little pub. Rooms are good. Generous size. New carpets. Comfy beds. Tender, scrumptious, yummy generous size serloin steak with fresh veg. Cold beer. Reasonably priced. Very happy.

Meal was superb.....went out of their way to accommodate dietary requirements. Service very friendly. A pleasure to eat here. Plenty of parking for vans....do give it a try.

Bree & Bill are an amazing attribute to this small pub. They always great you with a smile & cheeky yarn.( For their generation its a credit to them to wanna chat to the oldies.) If your out and about for a bloody ripper feed, Mitch in the kitchen can produce some great meals, from a schnitty to a steak or pizza they are all fantastic. If its something lighter your after the Chicken Wrap is to die for. So, if your game enough to tackle 'The Rock' make sure you pop in the The Kings Own for a cold frothie to quench your thirst!

Edit: I now know this hotel has been upgraded since I have been there, so I am removing my one star review . Old review: The room we got 3 years ago the showers had cracked tiles the beds were sinking and sown together the tv had a big error box in the middle and to top it off the heater was loud and the floors had never been cleaned in years
