Service was impeccable. The beef tartare was delicious, which was happily made a half portion for me. The lamb roast was also yummy but the lamb itself was a tad over done and a bit tough. But I still enjoyed it. The ambience was good, though the table next to us was occupied by three young ladies who, it seemed, had to yell at each other to be heard. But cant hold that against the venue. Ill be back. Overall enjoyable.

Overall we had a good experience, service and food was mostly out standing. Some cracking dishes on the menu. The one issue we have, and it's a big one, was the price of the Bratwurst main meal. $42 for a single sausage with a very small amount of Sauerkraut...what a rip off. Very disappointed, could be a deal breaker. Lunch for 2 including one of the cheapest bottles of wine on the list +$250

Holy smokes the sour dough bread is hot, fresh, and delicious. The charcuterie plate was great. I was a bit underwhelmed by the meatball sub, but it was super tender and bread was also perfect crunchiness.

A well-loved and established staple of our Newtown community, you can't go wrong with a visit to Continental. Expect superb food, knowledgeable staff and wonderful atmosphere whether it's a Monday afternoon or a Friday night. If you love a good cheese board, prime cuts of cold meat, interesting tapas style dishes and well-made cocktails, this is the one for you.

Went here for lunch and had the meatball sandwich. It was quite good and had a nice atmosphere. Id def go back and try more of the menu and anticipate it could become 5 star in my mind.

Loved trying some different cheeses and charcuterie. Also the white anchovies were yum. We dropped in and managed to nab a table for two but probably recommend bookings on a Saturday.

A smidgen overpriced, overly strong drinks, and the food hasn't been quite to my taste either. Strong flavours that don't necessarily work well together, but perhaps my palate isn't refined enough. The service is friendly but a little slow. I feel I've ticked a box and a return visit isn't required.
