Do yourself a favour and stop in for lunch. Very friendly and welcoming. Good selection on the menu. The parma with vegetables was so generous I couldn't eat it all. Steak sandwich was nicely cooked and very filling with a generous serve of chips. Some locals on another table even shared their birthday cake with us. Well done Hillston

Went in for the state of origin and dinner and they barely had anything on the menu to order.. Nice publican and friendly staff

The pick of Hillstons pubs. Received a friendly welcome from the bar person, nice large and light filled venue with good service. Beer garden out the back and there seems to be an upstairs. Food is hardly gourmet but is good, honest pub food with large servings. Comfortable, welcoming and unpretentious venue with decent character. Will definitely return when passing through this town.

(Written on behalf of Melinda Wilson and Ruth Barcan) Nick (the proprietor) was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. He put us up at short notice when our camping trip was threatened by snow. The hotel is truly beautiful, and is getting a fresh overhaul which is in keeping with its Federation style. The pub meals were very generous and the bar atmosphere was convivial. Nick lit an open fire in the upstairs lounge just for my friend and myself, it was very kind of him to do so. I could not recommend this place highly enough and will definitely come back!
