We stayed here for 2 nights and the room was quite comfortable. We made sure we booked a room with a private bathroom. All the rooms are upstairs, the only one downstairs is the 2 bedroom apartment. The meals are fantastic and can highly recommend eating here. If you happen to be in the bar when the husband and wife owners are in, you will be assured of a great time. They are wonderful to talk to and are also very helpful too. We can highly recommend a visit to the New Crown Hotel.

Rooms are spotless and super comfy. Beds are very comfortable with plenty of pillows. Rooms are upstairs (no lift) and there is private parking at the rear of the property. Meals in the pub are large and tasty and on the expensive side. All staff are friendly and helpful. Best value for money anywhere!

Best hotel in Hay. Aldo was friendly and made me feel at home. The best thing was he tucked you into bread at night and gave you a kiss on the forehead. Made me feel the warmth of a mothers love. Best steak burger I've had in a long time and great beer selection.

Where do I start the most friendly bar staff, amazing bistro staff Devlon and Joe and not to mention Linda the superstar chef!! Her food was AMAZING and the portions are just so worth the money!! The licensee was also very friendly and up for a chat even with a tourist like me passing through in a way that makes you feel like this is a place you can call home! The rooms are lovely and at such amazing prices you really cannot go past the New Crown Hotel Motel in Hay NSW

The best experience in country hospitality I have ever come across !. After a long drive ,this lovely Pub and her happy & friendly staff is exactly what a road weary traveler is looking for . Great food ,great atmosphere and great fun night ! So much so we came back for a second time on our way home . Cheers Alex & Tony

Quite and cosy hotel, the rooms were a reasonable size, but the bathrooms tight. Bed albeit smaller then I prefer, was comfortable. The air-conditioning wasn't very effective and as it's so high up and without a controller, you are unable to adjust the settings. The building is old leaving the stairs a little creaky, but still felt sturdy underfoot. The convenience of bar and dinning room down stairs is an added bonus.

Im known amongst my friends as foodie because of the amount i eat and how fussy I am at the same time, I ordered a bruschetta which would have fed 3 it was loaded with toppings and just the right amount of balsamic on top, THEN came my mixed grill, thankfully I walked to the hotel as Ill need to do 3 laps around the town to get it all down the serving was huge and everything on my plate from the sausages, rissoles, lamb loin chop , bacon and everything else I forgot in my food coma was cooked to perfection, I now have another reason to holiday in Hay again every year, the bar staff and everyone working here all had big smiles you honestly couldnt ask for a better experience

Good food, relaxing beer garden, friendly and very hard working staff. Long wait for food but that was only because there were only 1-2 eateries open in Hay when we visited. Can't rate accommodation as we didn't stay there.

Bar staff great, BUT cook was incredibly rude as I am celiac asked all the questions as I need to as she rolled her eyes flicked me dirty looks. Food allergies are not a choice. Felt overwhelmed and bullied. Walked out. TLR
