Really open and friendly atmosphere. Live music on a Saturday evening was absolutely spot on - perfect for dancing and enjoying an evening with friends and strangers alike! Slightly away from the main centre of town, so you can really let loose. Adjacent to a park which was a bit dark in spots - maybe don't hang around too long after closing.

Great location, food was good but staff were ignorant. Waited over 45 minutes for meals. Two meals from the same table were ordered one minute earlier and were ready in 10 minutes. People arriving 20 minutes after we had were getting meals before us. Was informed that the chicken schnitzel was holding up our order when we queried where our meals were. Own your stuff ups and train the staff in the basics of hospitality.

We met a few friends for lunch and drinks. The food was very good and the atmosphere was great. The place is big enough so that you can find a quiet spot or if you like the music then you can sit in the main part. The pricing is not cheap but not overly expensive.

Had 2 dinners at The Bruns and both were brilliant. The 3 of us had different meals, seafood, pizza, steaks, lamb shoulder and the Kaiser and all were great portions as well as tasting great. Service was excellent, some have mentioned price but with the current price of fresh food and meat we saw as in line with the quality and amount. Good range of alcoholic drinks, needless to say we will be back!

This hotel was packed when we called in for Sunday lunch. I had delicious sushi, served with complimentary sauces. My companions both had fish and chips served with a generous salad. Excellent value.

Relaxed atmosphere & generous food portions. Plenty of seats & shady spots - a nice way to spend lunch and have a drink overlooking the river.

Drove down from Brissi for a family gathering before Christmas. Plenty of seating available if you get in early. Orders for lunch open at 12 sharp and fairly quick considering the amount of people by then. Pub type meals were reasonably priced and of course bar was open. We were shown a great table to secure for our 18odd people and all were pleased with meals, children included. There is a secure children's playground out the back but didn't really get to find it. Parking was a bit if a nightmare, with only 2 and 4 hr parking as it was next to beach and river...probably worse this Sunday as a week out from Christmas. We found the staff all very helpful and friendly and patient with so many lined up for meals. A band was setting up ready for live music and a Sunday sesh. After lunch we walked across the road to have our present giving by the beautiful, pristine Brunswick River. This looks like it will be the ongoing family Christmas lunch venue, catering for both Qld and NSW families.

The right hand didnt know what the left hand was doing. Told by one staff member what and where we can leave our dog because it was allowed on the premises. Another member showed us what to do. The food was well overpriced and the steak I had was not cooked the way I like it and was tough. The salad was a joke. Next day went to another restaurant and was allowed to sit outside with our dog not heard about the council regulations told by this establishment the night before. Not going back to the hotel or Brunswick Heads again.
